Aerating
- Aeration relieves compaction and allows air exchange in the root zone. At The Green Team, we use walk-behind aerators heavy enough to penetrate deeply. For larger turf areas, we use tractor pull-behind equipment.
Fertilizing
- The Green Team applies granular formulations for optimum turf growth that will exceed your expectations. Organic products usually release nutrients more slowly for a thicker, healthier lawn.
Top Dressing
- When a thin layer of soil or compost is added to your lawn, grass seed grows more quickly and aeration holes are filled with improved soil for better rooting. Extra soil helps to smooth the surface so mowers cut more evenly.
Regrading and Drainage
- Wet low areas of your lawn can be eliminated when we install underground drainage and add soil. A better quality of lawn will grow on improved soil and a smooth surface.

Sodding
- To give you an instant lawn, The Green Team will grade and smooth the lawn area, add topsoil and amendments, and install the rolls of sod to give you an instant lawn.
Seeding
- The Green Team uses new, improved turf varieties according to your site conditions and maintenance methods. This is the ideal way to improve partly shaded and thin areas of your lawn.
Weed and crabgrass control
- The Green Team applies organic corn gluten fertilizer in spring at a heavy rate to kill grass and weed seeds as they germinate. It will not harm your existing lawn (or larger perennial weeds, unfortunately) and the extra fertilizer will give you a thicker lawn that prevents other weeds from growing.
Insect Control
- New improved products are available that give partial control of the Chinch Bug and grubs that may invade your lawn. The Green Team will apply the safest, most effective organic treatments to help your lawn recover.
