Our environment is greatly improved when trees are a part of our landscape. Climate control is helped by softening the effects of sun, wind and rain. Your house will feel cooler in summer behind the shade of a tree that loses its leaves in fall and lets the sun warm your home.

Pruning

  • The Green Team does year round pruning as necessary on all sized trees. Pruning removes dead, diseased, dangerous, damaged and undesirable branches and limbs from trees or shrubs. Many shrubs can be rejuvenated and reduced in size by proper pruning.

Removal

  • Safe professional work by qualified staff is the only way to approach tree removal projects. When the safety, health and appearance of trees is reduced, we may recommend removal and replacement. All wood and brush are removed including the stump and the empty space is ready to be replanted.
  • The Green Team is familiar with the bylaws and approvals that must be met when removing trees.

Fertilizing

  • The Green Team knows the needs of different species of trees and uses a variety of methods to enhance tree growth. Two of these methods are liquid fertilizer injected into the root zone or adding granular fertilizer near the surface.

Mulching

  • By adding a bark mulch near the trunk and under the branches to reduce weed growth and conserve moisture, The Green Team can reduce the maintenance needs of trees and large shrub plantings.

Pest control

  • Occasionally, insects, fungi and rodents attack trees and shrubs. The Green Team’s Plant Health Care Specialists are provincially licensed, insured, and can control these pests in a safe, environmentally friendly way.
